Despite centuries of progress, women worldwide continue to struggle for equality and against oppression. While some battles have been won, discrimination in all its forms persistsmore overtly in some cultures than others, but present nonetheless in every aspect of life. One persistent facet of this issue is society’s fixation on female sexiness. Sex sellsand women are too often reduced to their appearance. As many strive to enter professions and spaces historically dominated by men, social media and popular culture continue to amplify the superficial. The underlying message remains: to be seen, a woman must trade intellect for beauty, assertiveness for compliance.

But must a woman really undress to be noticed?

Through this dialogue, art has the potential to shape perspectives, provoke thought, and become a catalyst for change towards greater awareness and ultimately, towards equality.
